Crime scene training

Last weekend was yet another busy one for NWMRT. One of the sad tasks we are sometimes required to do is to look after people who have been deceased while out in remote and difficult terrains. To help out, members of the NWMRT, with instruction from the PSNI, attended a “Scene of Crime” course in Belfast on Saturday, with lectures and practical practice scenarios. Then…on Sunday… members of NWMRT assited in the rescue of a sheep, trapped on the hill in Glenariff in Antrim. As the weather may get worse over the coming months, please be careful out there and take proper precautions (which you can find on our website https://nwmrt.org/mountain-advice/) and don’t forget to watch the broadcast about us this coming Sunday at 2.50pm on BBC 1 Northern Ireland.
