There was a major focus on the North West Mountain Rescue Team on BBC NI’s Community Life Appeals programme, presented by Vinny Hurrell and broadcast at the beginning of December 2017.
The short film showed the work we do and the costs involved and we appealed for donations and volunteers. If you didn’t get to see the broadcasts, you can watch the film here.
However, while we spent a long day filming the serious side of our work, we also found time for a bit of fun by demonstrating just how safe and secure people in our care are…as you can see in the video here. We would like to stress we DO NOT treat any of our casualties this way!
